Boambee Swim School

In 2005, the Bell’s built SwimCare Boambee to handle the magnitude of students. Lori also changed roles and put more focus on the administration and reception side. In the beginning, Troy and two teachers, Beth and Helen hopped onto the team. Since then, the group has only expanded further.

With this purpose-built facility, more students learn how to swim every day. The centre makes
our team proud and we always strive to improve it wherever we can. Since then we conduct  swimming lessons for babies, kids and squad swimming classes for adults in the Boambee NSW. We have other swimming facilities in Moone and Coffs Harbour.

Why Join Boambee Swim School?

Learning to swim makes you feel more confident in the water and improves your safety. Whether you’re at the beach or playing around the pool at home, swimming is a vital and valuable life skill. Teaching kids to swim early in life can help them to feel comfortable around water.

At Boambee Swim School, we’re equipped to help every learner develop their swimming skills, regardless of age, confidence, or experience level. Taking swimming lessons with us means your child will get kind and supportive instruction from teaching specialists – you’ll really be able to see the improvement in their abilities. If you’re already an advanced swimmer, we can help you to keep developing with our squad classes.

From the youngest children through to adults who already have strong swimming schools, Boambee Swim School offers lessons for every need. Our baby swimming lessons are ideal for introducing your little one to water at an early age and have the added benefit of giving them a chance to socialise.

We also do kids’ lessons, suited to children aged two and over. Small class sizes ensure that every learner gets the attention they need and understands the importance of water safety. Even for experienced adults, our school offers classes that promote the enjoyment of swimming.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the hours of operation for the swim school?

Boambee Swim School is open at the following times:

    • Mondays from 9:00 am - 6:30 pm
    • Saturdays from 8.30 am – 2.00 pm
    • Sundays – Closed

Please note the above schedule might be subject to change depending on the season, holidays or any other circumstances, so it's always a good idea to check our website or contact us directly to confirm the schedule.

Also, class times may vary depending on the level, age group and the availability of the instructors, so it's recommended to contact us for information on the specific class times that suit you best.

  • Are there any age limits for taking swimming lessons?

No, we offer swimming instruction for all ages.

Our baby swimming lessons are ideal for introducing your little one to water at an early age. As they grow, we offer classes for children aged two and over. These classes are designed to teach the basics of swimming and water safety in a safe and supportive environment.

For older children we offer classes to suit all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Our goal is to help every student progress, regardless of the level they're at. For adults and experienced swimmers, we also offer squad classes to help further develop skills.

  • How do I know what class is appropriate for my child?

At Boambee Swim School, our instructors are trained to assess the skill level of each child and place them in the appropriate class. They will consider factors such as the child's age, swimming experience and comfort level in the water.

If your child is new to swimming, they will be placed in a beginner class where they will learn the basics of swimming such as floating, kicking and arm movements. As they progress, they will move to more advanced classes where they will learn more advanced swimming techniques such as different strokes, diving and endurance training.

If your child is already comfortable in the water and has some swimming experience, they will be placed in a more advanced class where they will continue to develop their swimming skills and improve their endurance.

If you have any questions or concerns about what class is appropriate for your child, please contact the school. Our staff will be happy to assist you in determining the best class for your child based on their skill level and comfort in the water.

  • What should I bring to the class?

To ensure that you or your child have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible, we recommend bringing the following items to class:

    • A swimsuit - this is the most important item to bring, as you or your child will need to be in the water during the class
    • A towel - to dry off after the class
    • Goggles - if you or your child have them, goggles can help protect the eyes from chlorine and make it easier to see underwater
    • A water bottle - to stay hydrated during the class
    • A change of clothes - for after the class
  • How often should I take classes?

We recommend taking classes at least once a week for the best results. Regular practice will help you or your child to retain and build upon the skills learned in class. However, we also offer more frequent classes for those who want to progress faster.
