Babies accept water faster than older children. We provide the chance for parents to bond with their babies while teaching water familiarisation.

Kids Swim Classes

Squad classes take a larger group that have mastered the 4 strokes and strives to teach them further. It’s not about competition, but education.

Squad Classes

Welcome to SwimCare Swim School. We provide swimming lessons for all ages. Babies, kids and adults are all welcome. We have two locations: Boambee, just South of Coffs Harbour & Moonee, just North of Coffs Harbour. We started SwimCare Boambee in 2001 with a passion to teach kids how to swim. Our main focus is on safety and then we branch into stroke technique after that.

We believe that kids swimming lessons should be taught at a young age. It’s never too early to get started. Training reduces drowning rates and saves lives. Swimming lessons also provide social interaction for children.

The experiences allow kids to integrate with others and teaches them to work within a multicultural society. It’s the perfect avenue to play while learning valuable tools to use in life. Swimming is a life skill in multiple ways. We encourage all children to take swimming lessons.

Adults that don’t know how to swim benefit from our lessons as well. There’s no age limit to learning this valuable life skill. Our passion runs deep and we hope to build strong swimmers in the future.

Benefits Of Learning To Swim

There are numerous reasons why swimming is one of the most important life skills out there and why, no matter what age you are, learning to swim is a valuable aid to health and wellbeing.

  • Life Saving

    • Nobody knows when they might accidentally fall into a body of water, or be put in a situation where swimming to safety is the only option.
    • Hundreds of Australians are drowned each year - learning to swim could be all that's needed to avoid being added to that grim statistic.
  • Opportunity To Socialise

    • From hitting the beach for a swim to surfing, sailing, or even enjoying a dip in the neighbour's pool before a well-earned BBQ, swimming is an intrinsic part of life here.
    • Nobody wants to miss out, which is why learning to swim, preferably as soon as possible, is important. Swimmers can take part in water-based activities with confidence.
  • Excercise

    • Everybody knows that exercise is good for you. Swimming isn't just a fantastic form of cardiovascular exercise, it's also great for improving flexibility and range of movement.
    • The fact that it's a non-weight-bearing form of exercise makes it ideal for seniors, people with joint problems or those rehabilitating following injury or illness.
    • Whether you are a casual swimmer or a serious competitor, regular swimming can greatly improve your physical wellbeing.
  • Improved Mind

    • It's not just your body that benefits from swimming - your mind also feels the effects of regular exercise in the water. Research shows that swimming can enhance mental well-being, as well as improve sleep and help to control anxiety.

If you can't swim and wish to learn, or are a hesitant swimmer who wants to improve their technique, perhaps before attempting sea swimming or wild swimming, we can help. SwimCare Swim School's team of expert coaches and instructors are here to help you meet your goals, no matter what they might be.
